Smarty Van designs and implements smart home systems in adventure-mobiles. We start with conversations about your systems design and what Smarty Van can do. Where are you at in the build process? What kinds of components do you plan to use? How deeply integrated do you want each system? Do you have unique needs or features that need custom R&D?

Next we’ll price your system based on the specifications from step one. We’ll also present a collaboration schedule so that we can smoothly integrate into your build process. Pricing generally starts at $5,000 for smaller installations if you are providing your own networking equipment (Starlink & router). Larger installations with more integrations will fall in the $10,000 - $15,000 range. We know this pricing isn’t for everyone and that’s why we actively share how-to videos on the YouTube channel for free.

Then we move into the design phase to specify and secure the components needed to deploy your system. If R&D is needed for new ideas or components, we’ll begin that process. At this point we may agree that you or your build team will be doing wiring and laying the ground work. We’ll specify and document those needs.

If you are handling the base-wiring yourself, we’ll join you at your build site once the build is further along to install the control modules and begin physical testing and configuration.

During the install we begin automating. We’ll work with you on site to refine automations and program your devices to interact with the system.

After the build is complete and on the road, we are able to remotely access your system (with your permission) to help troubleshoot, add or refine automations, and consult on feature additions.

Smarty Van can deploy adventure-mobile automation on DIY and Professional builds alike. Generally, it is easiest to be involved from the beginning of a build, but retro-fitting is also possible. Let’s chat!
